THE YARN
American Merino Dream
4-ply, Fingering Weight
100% US Mercerized Merino Wool
450 yards / 100 grams
A highly luxurious yarn you need to feel to believe!
Mercerized Merino wool is grown and processed in the US. Mercerization markedly enhances the hand of Merino wool through a process that removes the scales on wool fiber, followed by adding a thin layer of micro-silicone. It has a super smooth hand similar to cashmere that is soft enough for garments worn directly against the skin. Mercerized wool can be laundered, making it an ideal design option for active wear, winter base layers and warm weather knit products.
CARE INSTRUCTIONS
Hand wash gently in cool water using a wool safe detergent such as Eucalan. Lay flat to dry. It is normal for some color to bleed from hand dyed yarns when washed for the first time; cold water will help to prevent bleeding.
FROM THE STUDIO
Each skein will vary in saturation and speckling, even if they are from the same dye batch. This is what makes hand dyed yarn so unique and special. If creating a project requiring multiple skeins of the same color, always rotate your skeins every few rows for a seamless blend of color.
